Abstract

Aim: The effect of compound B-104, which contains an azomethine group in a heterocyclic structure, on rat liver catalase enzyme activity has been investigated.

Method: In vitro experiments were conducted to determine how B-104 compound affects catalase enzyme activity in a concentration-dependent manner. Catalase enzyme samples obtained from rat liver were incubated with varying concentrations of B-104 compound and enzyme activity was subsequently measured using spectrophotometric methods.

Results: The obtained data demonstrate that B-104 compound inhibits catalase enzyme activity in a concentration-dependent manner. This finding suggests that B-104 could be considered as a potential inhibitor. However, further research is required to explore the mechanism of its inhibitory effect and potential side effects in more detail.

Conclusion: This study could represent an important step towards understanding the biological effects of B-104 and determining its potential therapeutic applications.
